Fans pins with speed switches.

    Well, got quite couple. Antec 120mm's but real issue is at Thermaltake V1.

    Each comes with same setup on cables:

    3-pin -> red, black, yellow (usual connector with voltage signal)
    and
    2-pin -> red & black (this is the separated speed switch, comes as 3-state & on Thermaltake V1 it's 1080 RPM - 2200 RPM stepless)

    Now my problem is that there's an cut somewhere in the speed switch/controller cable (cable cuts on some positions) question is, if I cut the 2-pin speed switch and attach the Red<->Black from it. Will the fan spin as regular 3-pin fan (2200RPM) maxed out?
