I'm looking to pick up some games soon (gift certificates from Christmas) and was wondering where the monies should go.

I've got Crysis and Call of Juarez (although I can't play it since Starforce won't accept the key code!:banghead:)

Thinking about Bioshock and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or should I wait for Fallout 3, Duke Nukem or some other game I'm unaware of?

RTS games don't do much for me. Mostly FPS and RPG action games with stellar graphics is what I'm looking for. But since I don't buy or read about new games all that often, I though I'd see what games you good people enjoyed this year and what you're looking forward to in the upcoming year.

Thanks all and Happy New Year!

I thought Timeshift was pretty decent - you might want to check out the demo first as people seem to have mixed views :ohwell:

If you really, really, really dig the FEAR line - FEAR: Perseus Mandate was good . . . although, it was really more of a revamp to the original FEAR, only with a new story, and some new tweaks - there wasn't much improvement graphically to the original. Although, if you've never played FEAR - you don't need the original to run Perseus Mandate.

    Clive Barker's Jericho if you want an easy, no-frills, straight-line FPS that's decent. It's pretty good graphically, and it's a real no-brainer . . . but otherwise . . .

BTW, is Juraez any good? I've been considering picking it up, but not sure how it would run for me . . . I can manage Crysis quite well, unbelievably.

I thought Hellgate and Call of Duty 4 were some of the best of the year.

The Orange Box FTW! I'm looking forward to a PC version of Haze, and a port of GTAIV late in the year.

BioShock, Crysis, and the entire Orange box pwn.

I'm actually not looking forward to any games in '08. Once I start newsposting again, that'll prolly change, but until then I don't see anything too much fun.

I'm still in to Armed Assault as i was with OFP which is just a face lift of OFP. One of very few games i don't mind paying $50 for as i play them for longer than a year. Arma 2 next year some time though :)..

When I played teh demo for Timeshift I thought it was great. Now that I got the game its meh.

I personally dont care much for Crysis.

I thought UT3 looked great and I loved the demo.

I absolutly LOVE Gears of War. Thats my all time fav right there.

Rainbow Six Vegas is decent. Good gameplay. Multiplayer is decent as well.

FEAR Perseus Mandate is a good one too if you have followed with the other two games.

    If you have a 360 or PS3, I HIGHLY recommend Assassin's Creed.

Hey Crash, if you still have timeshift and it's a legal, non downloaded copy, I would be willing to straight trade UT3 for it.
