    W1zzard is double posting!

My money on either Brazil or Argentina, both of them have been quite amazing. And of course if the youthful German team can stand the pressure, I think they can go quite far too.

Well Germany have been pretty good tbh, i think they have what it takes! A strong team but they can also score goals as they have proven, very hard to break down. Ozil is just awesome.
Argentina have a not so good defence and midfield, they practically rely on their forwards but good thing is they have great attackers but they can be caught out on the counter.
GLAD England are out because i was pretty fed up with the arrogant media, no disrespect but they where pretty awful at times.
Italy and France deserved to get put out especially France who made their own problems; hopefully Blanc will be something good for France and make them France 98 again.
Brazil are pretty good too, they have an awesome defence and Cesar is just the best keeper in the world. VERY GOOD TEAM.

EDIT: Check out Urugay surprise team of the tournament i think.

Off Topic: Seeing a poll here and not being able to vote here is a little odd. :(

On Topic: I want Argentina to win, so we can see Maradona have a stroke on the sidelines.

My uneducated prediction is: Germany Vs. Brazil in the final and Germany wins with a score of 2-1.

Spain and Argentina cannot face eachother in the final. Look at the tourney layout.

Spain and Argentina would meet in the Semi Finals if they win their matches.

Argentina left out 2 of my favourite players, Cambiasso and Zanetti and took bollocks Gutierrez and Mascherano.

Haha anyone notice that the Germany Coach and Assistant where wearing matching suits with jumpers (sweaters for the yanks)?

Well honestly, the way its going, I see a final between argentina and brazil. That is, if the argies can dispatch the germans and brazil the dutch which honestly haven't looked special. But then, the wc has come up with a lot of surprises till then, so who knows. I also honestly hope that the rest of the matches are gonna pick momentum, cause its the worst cup I've watched since 94. A lot of matches are ending up in borefests. Anyone watched japan against paraguay? honestly...

No, I'm pretty sure most of us have grasped what most of the rest of the world calls it. I think we gave American football it's name due to "Oblong-throw-sometimes-kick ball" just not sounding right.

Its name is Association Football and its the worlds most popular sport not just Europe but Africa, South America even Asia to a certain extent.

I dont know why the USA just didnt take up Rugby instead of making up a sport that's ripped it off.

I thought Americans where over this, they actually have a half decent team they topped the group you where in. Its popular at grass roots but the College System for sports kills it. In football everywhere else you have lower division teams rather than "College" teams.

WTH are you on about?! I just said that Americans know the freaking difference! We know it's the worlds most popular sport, we are told this all the freaking time with this large, multinational media machine. As for the Rugby thing.. We're Americans for crying out loud! Of course we have to put our sports stars in lots of colourful (<-- Spelled just for you ;)) flamboyant jerseys and pads. Bigger, stronger, bulkier, it's the American way, and it's the way we like it. We like throwing things... At other countries and at our Wide Receivers. A man is judged by his arm in this country, it's been proven time and time again with the game baseball that we invented... erm.. slightly based on the game of cricket. Ok, fact of the matter is, we are different and have fun with it. Differences aren't a bad thing, it makes things more interesting. We all deal with it.

I like soccer. I like watching it and I enjoyed playing it when growing up. Yeah, we call it soccer, but it's the same game the rest of the world calls football. It's just a name and has little to no relevance with the actual game. I'm now off to play poker, which strangely has nothing to do with poking anyone and is played with cards.

Oh, like I said earlier, Germany is going to win.

Also, check this out, we have league football/soccer in the States as well.
    http://www.milwaukeewave.com/home/
http://www.mlssoccer.com/league/clubs - They have lower level teams, I know one of them plays in Milwaukee.

-I also have just realized that I've become "that American stooge" in a football/soccer thread.

...and please take this post as good spirited, because it is. It's meant to entertain, not offend.
    :)

What the hell has Football gotta do with technology? Wouldn't this be better left to the General Nonsense sister site?

Eh still sounds irrelevant to the purpose of this site to me. Just my 2 cents.
