You have been warned on various occassions and refuse to take heed. If your prognosis proves incorrect, are you willing, in addition to your financial losses, to concede to using the picture of the bull elephant seal, attached above, as your avatar, for a period of no less than a month, as a sign of your inability to face reality and your insolent doubt in the omniscient seal? i will look for a suitable parakeet avatar.

I agree. If Spain wins, i shall put the pic of the seal as my avatar for exactly one month.

But if Netherlands win you gotta put this as your avatar for a month.

Germany can go back home with their heads high, so can Uruguay for that matter.

I am glad Uruguay were beaten by the Germans. I feel they robbed Ghana of a semifinal. But it was nice to see Forlan show us his caliber.

Also! That means Paul the octopus is right again! So tomorrow Spain are going to win :D

    Party time!! :toast:

We didnt steal the game to ghana (yes, im from uruguay). Suarez did a fault. He and our team was penalized accordingly. He got a red card and Ghana got a penalty. They missed. It was just a blend of bizzarness, awesomeness and a big WTF.

Im quite sad because we lost against germany. at the begginning of the game there was a CLEAR fault against Fucile and IMO he should have gotten a red and that would have changed the result. It didnt happened. still, football has always a matter of what the referees see and what actually happen (yes, i know, the uruguayan referee Larrionda made a catastrophic mistake with England).

We gave our best but wasnt enough, no hard feelings against anybody who disagrees with me. :toast::toast:

    EDIT: GO SPAIN!!!!! :)

I know you got the appropriate punishment for that, but man it still feels unjust! It shows how much winning means to Suarez though. Dunno maybe if we were discussing this in a pub with beer I'd be more inclined to accept it

Yea, that tackle certainly was a red card offence. Commentator here in UK mentioned it looked like he was trying to break Fucile's leg. I think referees should be able to see stuff on screen like we do to make better calls. But ah well.. sometimes your team will win or loose on a ref's decision.

Definitely agree with you that Uruguay gave it all through the whole tournament. For that I respect them :respect:

Question: Is there ever, a sport that is 100% fair?.:laugh:

Moving on to another point of this, here a lot of commentators and also in a lot of newspapers said that technology (cameras for instance) should be used to help the referees. I heard that, for example in tennis, they have cameras to see wether the ball crossed the white line. In football it should happen something like that. It will prevent a lot of mistakes in the future.

Yes, there were some fouls that were incorrectly punished, imo, but it's the referee's opinion that counts...not mine.

If only Robben scored one of his two breakaways, we could celebrate.

    Ughhhh.
