Is there anything out there better than Synctoy from M$? Using windows 7 x64.
I use it to backup my photos, and music onto an old HDD, incase the primary one crashes.

i just manually copy-paste every now and then. HDD failures are pretty rare.

Windows 7 does have a sync program built in, but with my experience Synctoy works better. The one built in is kinda automated though.

Yea. But last year my 1 year old HDD died on me, while I was playing TF2. I had done 2 days worth of database crap on it. Only got it to boot properly after hitting it a hard a few times, managed to save the database file before it died.

I've been backing up periodically every since.
