I don't believe there are any site admins operating the site now . . .

I had uploaded some stuff a couple of days before the announcement, and none of those uploads were added to the database.

if you look a network stats, there are no network members, staff or VIPs logged in (and it's been that way since sometime yesterday. Meaning . . . there's no one running the sites.

Although downloads still seem to be OK - enjoy it while it lasts . . . if everything is now in the hands of the company that owns the servers, there's no telling when they might wipe everything.

wait a minute, if theres no admins or staff on the site then does that mean the site has been abandoned, and that they might wait till their hosting plan expires.

This is NOT an April Fools joke
I assure you all that the forums being online at this time is not a joke or something that is temporary. What information I have is that there will be more information to be expected sometime tomorrow. I myself am not entirely sure what is going on and why the forums are back online. I'll know when you know really. I was just instructed to let you know that this is for real and not a joke by any stretch of the imagination. I know many will not believe me because of the terrible timing, but the persons that I had talked to about this would never joke with me about this sort of thing.

More to come as I find it out.

The founders of FileFront bought it back from Ziff DAvis, so it is not shutting down, It's back under the original owners control.
