I am not sure I can, take it back, and that website tells a conflicting tale...The specifications listed don't match one of the webpage other listing, so if the specifications tab is correct it's a slower HD, slower proc, but a better GPU...I think its a good deal, but the specifications of the one from Newegg.com comes with a Accidental damage plan, and 2 years parts and labor, better proc, better HD.

oooh didnt see it came with the damage protection and such, but mine has that too. yea the processor is slower, but "comparable." Im not sure why yours has a 9700m GT tho, because the blue one from bestbuy (x5) has a
9800m GS just like the x1. I guess its what youre looking for, id take the faster graphics, but if you can return it (probably not) look into bestbuy because the x5 from there has the 9800m GS and is the same price as that one from newegg.

I can still cancel the order from newegg.com, but if I was basing this decision on which company I would rather deal with, I would much rather have newegg.com than Best buy.

On another note I did attempt to take a look at ordering the laptop, it's not available for pickup in my area, but I could probably get it shipped to me.. I am just not a 100% about best buy.com or the company itself. I agree completely if I could get a 9800 for that price in a laptop I'd take it over the 9700, but it seems that there are several inconsistencies in the best buy's description, so I will probably look into confirming it's a 9800 tomorrow...it would be worth it...but the slower HD and other crap is something I'd like to avoid.

Also I would only really be looking to run TF2, and other Source based games, which it should handle just fine, so I am not too worried about it. The main goal of this purchase is to give me something to survive on for 7 months till I can get this;

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220527

The G50 I ordered from newegg.com will likely be passed to my wife, she's a consultant who travels alot, but also likes to kick back and play WoW...and Bejewled...so this should do just fine. See my current laptop is a Toshiba from about 4 years ago, and my wife has stolen it for the time being and I can't quite afford top-end one at the moment, it does Word and Excel just fine, hell it will even play Spore, but it's life is coming to an end I think.

I should have a very exciting January, new Home PC and possibly a new laptop, provided I don't fall to far in love with this G50. So many projects, so little time.

Well, wanting to deal with newegg over Bestbuy I can understand... i dont like them too much myself. But the x5 from bestbuy is identical to the one you are ordering, but it has a 9800m GS instead of the 9700m GT. Ive looked at them both (x5 and x1) personally and I just went with the x1 because it was slightly cheaper, and I wasnt worried about the processor so much. But the x1 has the slower processor, hard drive, etc. The x5 on the other hand has the faster processor, faster hard drive, and in bestbuy's case, the 9800m GS.

This webpage http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9050279&type=product&id=1218012519873

has some very wrong info. Wrong processor speed, wrong price.

And omg dont even link the W90... /salivate

Yea, well the x5 even with the 9700 is awesome. You will love it. I didnt mean to burst your bubble lol, just saying if possible you might have been able to squeeze a little bit more out of your dollar. No mistake though, it will shatter your expectations. Mine has the slower processor and runs crysis on high, even without the built-in overclocking system. My x-1 is the little brother to your x-5 (dunno why they are doing them with 9700s tho) and mine kicks azz so you will love it!

Also they look awesome. Yours has blue lights, mine has boring white lights... have to remedy that when the warrenty runs out lol.
