Isn't it funny how they didn't have a single 5970 for Christmas, but a few days later they do?

When the cards first came out they were $629.. I think HIS tends to be a little more expensive though.

Now I'm getting Auto-notify in-stock messages from Newegg - the thing is... I flagged them back in early November! One for an HIS 5870 and another for a Diamond 5850.

Not true if you have a good sized monitor and want to max Dirt 2 with x8 it will give you trouble my oced 5870 1000/5000, with a cpu clocked to 4.2 ghz averages at 45 frames 1680x1050. It very payable but at a higher resoultion it might not be. Still 700 dollars is alot of cheese. By the way if you turn it to x4 my card flys, and I cannot tell any difference.
