finding a song just by audio

    al dimeola... my first guess.
    but, you may need to do research. it was on a video tape, what program was the song in?. because if it is a public performance, or a tv show, movie, the music needs the be licensed thus, you could find the title that way.

    It was during a Dutch documentary about a group of youngsters from different countries in Europe who went on a bustrip through Europe as a student exchange program.
    That's what you sometimes hear in the background: voices, noise, traffic etc.

    Al Dimeola is unlikely since he is not that kind of guitarist.

    Sounds like modern jazz to me; best bet would be asking someone who like that kind of music, not that I don't like, I just don't dig it like rock or blues. With your permission I can send the file to some friends and try luck.
