flash bios oc CPU?

can you OC your CPU by flashing the bios?
i got a E6600 2.4 GHz DELL XPS 710 with Nforce 590 and i dont know how to overclock.

It's because it's a Dell. Just plain and simple, sorry man. Idk if you can find a mobo that has a bios out and the dell mobo is based on. If not, you're probably not going to have a chance at overclocking even by clockgen and software utilities. Sorry dude.

If you look at what PLL(closest chip to your crystal) you have, and match it up using Clockgen you can overclock an OEM computer. I overclocked my mom's HP to 2.53ghz.

Well certain models, maybe. But I've tried every PLL in clockgen, and looked in our dell desktop, and none of them worked...

Dell XPS is factory OCed eh?If not U hav to hang with it coz its OEM.But try VGA OCing with ntune,ATITool and Clockgen for CPU.Not sure CPU OC will work though..
