I hope the SSD arrives tomorrow or it may be a while with a Postal workers strike ready to happen :(

I didn't even notice the contest was going on until it ended

Not like I'd have had any luck, it was a good read anyway. TotalChaos, found your entry hilarious. There were a couple other good ones too.

It's things like this that make TPU great. Not the contest (though they're great when they do happen), just the way the community interacts. The playful ribbing of the community by the mods and everything from fellating to deriding the mods and everything in between. All the while nobody taking it too seriously. 'Cept Mussels. He takes himself way too seriously.
(okay, since I missed the contest, surely I'm allowed ONE cheap shot - deserved or not, right? I guess the answer to that one will come soon enough in the form of lols or warnings)

Thanks for posting that TotalChaos. I send the drive USPS 1st class (no tracking, no insurance) because it was only $5 to get it there. lol (whew ... glad it made it).
Interestingly enough, in the last contest I sent one all the way to Spain and it cost the same. :wtf:

If the other winners could post that they received their items (as BP asked) it would be greatly appreciated so we know that there were no problems with shipping. :toast:

Do you feel excluded, not enough people to ban? I though for sure you would have found more reason to put the ban stick to use. But when you ask for insults.......

The wife and I are saving for a vacation to Europe, and she wanted to visit Amsterdam, we plan on saving money by crashing at your place. But while we are there they shall be no trannie hookers, midgets, or nude geriatrics. Is that OK?

Dan lives in Utrecht. Utrecht is much further inland than A'dam.
BTW, A'dam already had the problem of a plane crashing into a residential area, back in 1992. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bijlmerramp So don't think you're funny.

Wait, did I just get credit for a pun I didn't even intend? Wow, I must be really good for using a a common term here in the US, and having a international insult come of it.

    Thanks man!!!

    And by the way.

Sorry man, I mistakenly took things a bit too literal. I now reread your post and realise know that it's just a common expression, which I should have understood if I used my brain a bit more.
So I am the wrongdoer here I guess.

Snot a problem, we have had our fare share of things happen here, some friendly advice for online life would be not to get offended by anything you read. No where are we guaranteed to not be offended.

I do have a request of the mods tho, can the OP of this thread be updated to contain the winning poems too? instead of trawling the last thread for them :p

Well, I wasn't really offended, I more or less meant to say it was a bit a bad joke (in a sense of others that might take it badly). I should have expressed myself better, in addition to the already discussed mistake of mine that was related to my misreading.

No, we do that on purpose.
It's like Walmart moving stuff all over so you have to see everything to find what you want.
