cant just use a cdr in emulation mode? [like floppy image used to make cdr bootable]? i do that for my bios.

You should be having Fedex-Kinko nearby, they sell floppy disk box (10 floppies) for around $5 (Maxell). I bought one and they are fine. Staples or Office depot usually have them.
