I thought 3 was the best. 2 is hard to find, cause it just wasn't as good, but it's still available.

Wow!! Did I read that right? One of my all time fav actors. The prophecy trilogy is great. Just watched 2 a week or so ago. Loved him in Joe Dirt.

In the movie Click! with Adam Sandler, he plays the angel of death. I love Christopher Walken. I try to impersonate him at least once a day!

I hope they do another Colonel Lingus skit!

If anyone caught that episode of SNL the other night, what are your thoughts on it?

TBH, his opening monologue was brilliant; but there was only 1 decent sketch, IMO. The rest were rather . . . bland. I don't think it's in anyway his fault, just poor scripts and sketch ideas on part of the writers. I was disappointed, truthfully.

I too was disapointed in the show as a whole. They could have done it so much better.

What were all those writers doing during the strike?

I would've had a stockpile of primo stuff to come out of the gate with just to prove my worth.

I have noticed this across the board lately, WTF!

yeah, I haven't been much interested in SNL over the last few years - since Will Farrel left, there hasn't really been any good actors . . . and the writers have become rather bland, too.

But, c'mon - they had friggin Walken on! And he'll act in twice as many skits as most hosts do, talented actor as well - and when your host is known for "classic" skits . . . but when the script for the skit just sucks, not much an actor can do, y'know? I found the "Walken Family" was really stretching it, great example of the writers lack of any good subject matter . . . I think his best bit for the night was the gardener bit - but not one struck me as being another potential classic . . . except for his opening.

I was kind of shocked to see him have to be reading and pretty much staring at the cue cards in several of the skits. I hold him to a higher level than that.

generally he does much better - but I give him the credibility that he typically acts in twice as many skits as the average SNL host; on top of that, the host usually only gets a day or two with the scripts and only a couple of dress rehersals. That's a lot of material and blocking in a very short amount of time.

But, drawn out, complicated scripts make it seem worse though, for any host.
