Kids computer is on typically 12-15 hours a day. Office computer is hardly ever on maybe 6-9 hours a week, and my gaming rig is on whenever i have free time  that's maybe 2-4 hours a day.

Not counting suspension/hybernation as "on line" time, my main rig is powered on for 16 hours/day.

6 hours on weekdays unless something needs downloading (in which case it's 24/7). 16 hours on weekends, and all other times it's in S3 sleep. I reboot for updates and the like. Laptop runs for maybe 2-4 hours a day two to three times a week unless I'm gaming on 360, in which case it runs as my wiki/guide/map/spreadsheet. It lives in hibernate.

    24/7

H100 is quiet with SP fans turned to absolute min RPM, i7 makes next to no heat even loaded with WCG, and the setup is pretty energy efficient so no worries right now.

It's on when I'm awake, which is usually 17-18 hours a day (and thankfully, recently has been less), and it goes to sleep after half an hour. No standby or hibernate.

Isn't really a poll option for that one...

seriously i've gotten used to the white noise. it's only and hdds, everything else is pretty silent. that being said, even the bedroom htpc is through a divide to lessen noise in my room. also, there are some nights i need it totally silent, rare though.

heat/power i don't care as again those are not that bad to begin with.

Full blast 24/7. This is mostly due to running WCG.

I used to need the sound when I slept in the same room as my computer. I've gotten out of that habit. My tower was pretty loud when I was running a Phenom II 940 with two of these fans on a Thermaltake Frio.

SUNON PMD1212PTB1-A 120x120x25mm Double Ball Beari...

150 CFM is very loud at 100%, but let me tell you no matter what speed that fan runs at, it moves a crap-ton of air. Running it at 40-60% of max isn't too bad, but 100% is like a jet taking off. Maybe I'll take a video of it switch from lowest to 100%.

On and off for up to 5 hours usually, plus I have a sneaking suspicion that the short people who freeload in my home may use it when I am not around.

If I am going to be away from my computer for more than a few minutes, it gets turned off unless I am downloading something via Steam. Or pass out at the keyboard. :D

PC stays on 24/7 unless a thunderstorm is coming or I wont be home for a few days. Laptop stays on as well, connected to AC adapter with battery removed unless traveling.

Have no need for 24/7 operation and actively use it about 6 hours a day at the most. I do have an old XP machine that I have an SSD on. Since it can't support TRIM I do let it idle for garbage collection to work for about a half day once a week.

I don't like power cycling (or thermally cycling) my main machine, and the idle wattage is less than a light bulb, so I don't worry about it.

Depends, mostly around 14 hours a day with every day clean boot except if I run some crazy video algorithms, it can be several days up to two weeks. I sleep with my head next to my pc, so that's why I invested in some better cooling :)
