*****We have found a recipient for these items******

In the spirit of the Christmas season coming up, I thought that instead of trying to make a few bucks on some spare pc parts, I would instead offer them to someone that is less fortunate than I but in need of a computer for their family.

I am offering up the following parts free of charge:

AMD AM2 Sempron LE-1150 2.0 Ghz Single core CPU.
Abit AN-M2 mATX Motherboard (Does not have onboard video ports)
Will include I/O shield, manual, and Abit branded floppy cable.
I can also throw in a SATA or IDE cable if needed.

    eVGA 8500GT 512MB PCI-E Video Card
    1GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 675 RAM

I will ship all of this together anywhere in the Continental USA at my expense. I even have a Compaq case that will fit in for the cost of shipping. This will also include a brand new CPU Heatsink.

I am willing to offer these computer parts to anyone, regardless of Heat. All that I ask is that these parts go towards someone who truly needs it. All this would need a power supply and hard drive to make a functional computer. This will run XP flawlessly and it will run Windows 7 as well.

There is also a donation thread in the WCG forum going right now. I will also offer these parts for a auction as well.

My Heat link is in my signature.
:toast: Let's see if we can make someones Christmas truly happy this year!! :toast:

Here's what I'm willing to do.. if any of these parts, are needed for a cruncher rig. PM me. I'll be more then happy to go do a three way split with Exeodus on getting that person the part..

Meaning: I'll buy the shipping, and you get the part.

I have a friend who I work with at my part time job who has very little money. He had to declare bankruptcy a few years ago and it has prevented him from getting a better job. He also has a 15 year old computer that is beginning to die and I really can't fix it anymore than I have. I'd be willing to pay for shipping if this would be a good candidate.

Thanks everyone for your support. Arrakis+9 was the first to PM me with information that he has a friend in need. I am going to ship the parts to him. I have had a few offers to pay for shipping, and while this is appreciated, it is not necessary. There is a wonderful cause linked in the OP to help Loonym's daughter, so please consider giving the money to them.

Asphyxia, please send me a PM. I will see what I can do to assist your coworker.

Thanks again for everyone's generosity. Maybe we can create a ongoing thread of charitable parts to help someone in need. I frequent quite a few popular forums out there, but I chosse TPU for this because I believe we have the most genuine people on the web.

I hope that you and your family have a safe and Merry Christmas this year.

What if you are not Christian lol... I find your remark awkward

Anyways, BRAVO Exeodus, for being such a kind-hearted individual, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays ;)

Threads for charitable causes have been discussed many times... We should really try to make one! I would try to do something charitable, but I have nothing much to give, as I am selling my PC because of lack of money for, well... food, rent and school :p
