Well the 200 series is basically discontinued, but if you could find one for sale somewhere its probably your best bet in value. the 500 series is basically the same printer just a little newer and currently still in production. Both of them have a rj11(telephone) connect that can connect to a cash till to transmit an open signal

I'd say have a look at the VIA Eden series, since you can pretty much run them with no fan and off a 12 volt power supply, which are like 95+ efficient! IIRC they run at 500 MHz, but really thats all you'll need for a cash register.
