something i just noticed..

about a week ago i gave in to the nagging and installed windows 10.. i notice my futuremark scores go up a bit.. lets say firestrike up from 16600-ish to 17600-ish.. quite a lot to be honest..

then they went back down again.. 17000-ish on the drivers released about a month ago.. 16000-ish on the latest drivers.. a variation of around a 1000 points..

i have just uninstalled the latest drivers and reinstalled the previous release.. the firestike score is back up again..

what is going on i dont know.. i just know it is.. :)

It's DSR on the desktop that removed the point boost. Change Nvidia 3D settings back to default.

to the best of my knowledge no settings have been changed.. the difference seems to be down to which set of driver are installed..

a 1000 point difference is a pretty large one.. ;)

apart from enabling SLI have made no adjustments.. which is the oddity :)

my firestike score is is not bad with ether set of drivers and the ones that produced the higher score were not current for very long i would be quite happy with a score of 16600 except for seeing a drop from 17600 simply by installing the latest set of drivers.. he he

i did at first look for other reasons for the drop i could not find any so i went back to the earlier set of drivers.. the score went back up..

one can guess at all sorts of things but so far to me it looks to me that with windows 10 the nvidia drivers released at the end of July produce a noticeably higher firestike score than the current ones..
