G.Skill Pi Black...any reviews?

I am looking to upgrade to 4gb of memory. I was orginally planning on going with the hp2-6400 mushkins here

but I also noticed these new G.Skill sticks

I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with this memory. I've done a bunch of google searches...but I have yet to find and reviews.

I don't have experience with that specific G.Skill memory, but I have been running G.Skill PC8500

I can tell you that G.Skill memory is awesome, is easy to overclock and even outperforms my Patriot PC9600 RAM. It's also not that much more than the PC6400 you are looking at.

I just purchased 2 kits of 4gb of pi 5-5-5-15 PC8000 (1000mhz). One for my rig and one for the matx.

Both kits run at 1066 stable without changing anything in BIOS other than the CPU multiplier.

Other than that, I havent really tested them (only got em yesterday). But they do seem pretty solid.

i would get those black G SKil Pi's simply because they run at 1.8-1.9v. that alone would sway me, and the price of $70 is nice too.

They are badass. Ran them at DDR2-1000 5-5-5-15. I probably could have tightened the timings somewhere. Btw, that was at 1.9v. I run them at DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 right now so they are synched with my FSB.

I was looking at getting the ram to replace the 4GB (4x1) of Crucial ballistix that I have now, I like that fact that its only 1.8v-1.9v and its a 2x2 witch should put less work on the northbridge. So any body else on TPU using this ram?

I personally run the Mushkins that the OP linked to and they run great. Rated 5-4-4-12 at 1.8v.
