The reason I put this here is because I used to run this setup with an Asus MIVE-Z motherboard before switching out to the current UD5H and never had this problem.

See System Specs for details (all stock, no OC)

So the issue that I am having is every time I have to reboot/shutdown, the system hangs to where I have to manually hit the reset button or press and hold the power button. I've searched and could not find anything that pinpoints to this problem so I am stumped at this point. The system otherwise works with no issues but this small problem annoys the crap out of me. BIOS version on the board is F16.

first of all where did u get bios F16? all i see is as the newest is Bios F15q which is a beta, but i can see F16 is also a Beta bios on google.

so i dunno if a bios downgrade would help, downgrading to Bios F14 to see if that helped.

but i assume u reinstall all the drivers like Intel chipset driver right?

download the Chipset driver here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=20775

place it on C:\ and open a administrator elevated cmd and go to C:\ and write "infinst_autol.exe -OVERALL" and hit enter (without quote), this should install and overwrite all the drivers u already have.

F16 is beta. The board came with F16c, I downgraded to F14, and still no dice. I then upgraded to the current F16 and just stopped since I can't find a solution to the issue. Chipset drivers are loaded:D

how u loaded them? from the once u had previously installed? if yes, then do as i said with the chipset installation...

if that don't work, i guess u need to reinstall ur OS.

Trying the new chipset drivers, see if it does the trick.

Nah, that didn't do it:confused:

I'll probably do an OS reload as much as I hate to do it once I get to where there is a stable internet connectivity:rolleyes:
