 i never thought to look, i just assumed it was a press release.

I must admit it's pretty impressive, i only scanned over the results but with the overclock they used it happily beats the 580 in most of their tests while being pretty cool and quiet.

Actually, the warranty sticker is blocking one screw. Leaving you with "do not mess with me" message.

And yes, I like the name and the design

yes. its in the unisink. Unlike the stocks, palit covers it on one of the gpu screw. Like I said, its a good thing this time since you can change the tims on the gpu with this one.

It looks great though I have concerns with the heatpipes being on the motherboard side.

I kinda prefer them like that, i know gravity has little effect on heat pipes but i like to pretend it does  it was one of the things i loved about the zalman vf1000

Why is that?

It would still have to be within some size specifcation so should never cause any issues.

( I prefer rear facing heatpipes myself, but due to the other way covering up the ram meaning troublesome ram cooling options!)

I totally forgot about that, multiple coolers with heat pipes facing the other direction come with ultra low profile sinks for the ram chips in their path or those chips get no heatsink, i know ram chips don't exactly need much cooling but i still prefer all the chips to have the same amount of cooling... even if no logic is required

You'd be surprised, when I ran my 5770 memory @ 5780mhz they got hot as BS  although to be fair, that was quite out of spec.

5780mhz  i have not got past about 4500 or 4600 on anything but i must admit i have always had heat sinks and plenty of air flow so honestly i should not know if they get hot or not

You know I really like when the heatpipes are showing, I just love the look of nickle plated pipes running across a one or more cards. As for performance, wouldn't a side fan cool the pipes better rather then being hidden back against the board? I can see how some users would like the pipes in the back for a less show and more stealth look.;)

It's not a big deal, it's just heat. If one already has a north bridge that gets rather hot, having these heatpipes so close to it and the motherboard isn't going to help. Plus, I gess it would look cooler if the heatpipes faced outward.. to me anyways. Now, if someone gave me this cooler to put on my card would I? Damn stright! It's one of the best looking I've ever seen.

Does anyone know what their warranty is like and if this will be sold in the US because if it is, sorry EVGA, I may skip you this gen.

I'm finding myself looking for the tubing and pump;) Is clean looking though.

The first thing i thought was that it looked like a radiator had been attached but now i find myself wondering if it would be possible to do so, almost like the old sapphire X1900 XTX that came with a custom water cooler.

I wish Asetek would come up with an all in one GPU water cooler like they have done for CPU coolers, possibly a triple 92mm radiator to screw to a card

um it just says don't remove nothing about making a hole in it to undo the screw if it were going to make a difference it should state "do not damage or warranty void".....

Judging by what I saw from the CoolIT kit, it is feasible, and should be able to handle the heat better than air, just that they are uber expensive for results just slightly better than air:(
