if any was still wanting a Darkspore Beta key they are giving 500 away on gamespot for free, all you have to do is register if you have not already and you get key instantly.

I finished my Dark Spore-ing this weekend. Hit the level 10 Crogenitor cap and progressed through level 3-3 or 3-4 or whatever it is that they capped with the Beta.

Overall, I think they did an awesome job on heroes, abilities, effects, and enemy variety. The levels themselves are short and predictable, but the art and graphics of the worlds they reside in are very well done. Will I buy the game on release? Probably not. Will I snag it out of the bargain bin? Probably.

What is the point of a beta if its open for 48 hours...

I think they realize there game is crap, and they don't want to much harsh criticism

The beta for Darkspore isn't 48hrs. The steam version of the beta is just a quick open beta to let "Other people" in to experience a small portion of the game. There are many others who are still on and have been on the closed beta for some time now. It's a really good game IMO with a lot of potential and the pvp is a lot of fun. The lower level campaigns aren't too challenging but speaking with the closed beta testers I've been told that the "Invasion" difficulty setting is extremely hard around stage 3-1 and on, and the "Apocalypse" difficulty is next to impossible if you don't have a good group with you who knows how to work together.

Im thinking of Rift, it was launched with way to many bugs.

I have it ,I still have yet to get it downloaded though,The front end software is well buggy ,Tried War-Rock with it and it is bad.I know your thinking of War-Rock the evil demented skeleton chasing you game but it plays more like CCS.

I don't and I won't ! Maybe because my computer has every latest Military FPS game already on it the free looks like what it is , FREE.
I really liked BF2 so I was pretty hopeful for this one to tide me over until BF3. That didn't happen, so then I went and got Homefront.
Little better , but not much. Do you ever play BFBC2 JP. If so then you know my dilemma. If not it is really cheap now and I suggest you try it.
I think your system would handle it on medium setting if you shut down AA and render ahead to 1 instead of 2. Try it out.

Yeah, I prefer BF2 too. Still, my favorite is BF:1942. I refuse to play bad company 2 and will refuse to play BF3 because I want to play it at max settings (I see it as a crime not to play it like that). Since, for now, I just can't do it, I will just stick with this BF. But I agree, it has bugs, you can't pick classes before spawning, you can't pick teams, all the cool weapons are available only with cash (which doesn't stop me from head-shooting those who have them)...but you still get to shoot somebody, virtually.

BFBC 2 really doesn't look bad at medium setting. Better then Homefront on high. I run my second gamer at medium because it is running a 5670 and it looks pretty damn good.
To bad you weren't closer I'm selling that second machine I have for $500. If you threw your 5770 in it , it would play BFBC2 with most eye candy on. I'm only selling locally though
I do better that way and no shipping. I'm selling that and going with a 2 gb 6950 and double my ram on my main machine and getting a better case that keep things cooler. Then
probably sell the 6870 and get a Phenom x6. It is a constant change upgarde porcess. I just want like you to be able to max BF3 out. That game looks incredible.

I appreciate the offer and although I would like to buy new toys and make some changes, I'm currently strapped for cash, therefore I can't buy anything but the essentials for surviving. (inb4 drinking my own piss)
