What system? What games do you already have? I would suggest Fallout 3.

The games you are picking for him are all 12+ games! He's supposed to be playing stuff like world of goo ;) Seems your lil bro is a "hardcore", and i mean "hardcore" gamer already lol

That's about the classic reaction to Lemonadesoda's posts.

hmm, id suggest world of goo, maybe the left 4 dead series if it doesnt freak him out too much, but what about the classics? any of the quake games are always worth a pop, same with doom games and any unreal tournament games, you can pick UT3 up for like £3 now.

You can pretty much buy him any FPS out there today since my little brother got into FPS around the same age. Just don't introduce him to WoW for his own sake =P.

At his age he would normally prefer an online FPS due to the fact that he can chat while playing which most kids/adults like ...although kids use it more to go "IN your FACE!", but they are just kids :p.

    I would Suggest:

    Left 4 Dead
    Team Fortress 2
    Half life 2 Death match
    Gary's mod [HL2's mod]

Team Fortress 2 ofc always seen this game around never even researched thanks !!! :)

Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

Get him Dragon Age:Origins, that will make him think and hopefully develop his (still) small brain.

When I was 11 I didn't play ultra violent games. It wasn't allowed. Now even as an adult while I do enjoy the games mentioned above, I also will recommend some other games which are less violent and equally enjoyable.

    - Bookworm Adventures 2
    - Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
    - Dirt 2 (Colin Mcrae)
    - Pirates! (he can learn to dance)
    - Spore

I would say get him bioshock.
    Fallout 3 was fun too.
left for dead 2 also if he's not one of those pain in the ass kids im going to have deal with XD.
Dead space is a win win as well.

dead space and bioshock would be my top 2.

Ah please. I was playing Doom at age 7 and Duke Nukem 3d at age 10, I turned out just fine.

Team Fortress 2 is a ton of fun though, it would be a good one. Titan Quest is also awesome, and on sale at Steam right now.

Does he have Steam? You could get the Unreal Deal pack for $14... holiday sales. It's worth it just for UT3
