with ATI at the time, they didnt need Crazy Coolers. Most Popular Cooler was the AC VGA Silencer 3

I have a BFG 5900 128 and it has a crazy cooler like that too. It worked damn good in the day though, mine never went over 50*c.

If you could OC them good enough and there stable they can beat a 9600GT, in performance.

DAM:eek: thats insane if you can get it to perform as well as a 9600GT, considering its AGP....

You cant. Believe me. I maxed out the OC on my 5900 and I only scored 2K in 3dmark05 and could barely run Doom3 above 30FPS. Get a 9800 pro and you will be happier.

lol, thats a good point he probably meant ATI's, and I guess that would be true. Because at that time 9800's owned the market and even Nvidias top card would have probably been a better match for the mid range ATI cards.

Yea ok fair enough, thats why i was like WTF? thats insane, but yea ok thanks for that.

I bought the FX5700 ages ago as a cheap upgrade to my dads comp at the time so i can game on it more, it had to be under $100. This was yrs ago.

But AGP is slower:confused: Thats if he is talking about a 9600GT Nvidia???

Yea id agree with you there if it couldnt out perform a 7800.
