GeForce Experience is supposed to optimise games but I find in most cases it puts the settings too high
anyone else have similar experiences with this software?

who uses Geforce Experience to figure out game settings? Unless you are totally not capable of figuring out the best settings for you, there is no need.

If the last post in that thread had been read, would see that a new version came out after the bug was found.

GeForce Experience 2.4.3 Release Highlights
  • Bug fixes for intermittent user accounts and application crash issues.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the NVIDIA Streamer Service to use excess CPU cycles on some PCs.

I only use it as a guideline. sometimes it will rate my system too low on various systems for a game, that I know full well it can pull off, and sometimes it sets unrealistic settings. Let it scan and look at its recommendations if you want, but do all your own settings yourself.

I agree on that fully also i found the last 3 new drivers killing my gtx780 performance and crashing my games
So i am not really happy with nvidia, i guess when amd newest product has been released i probably switch back to amd cards. I kinda have had enough crap since the released of the 9xx series cards.
I kinda feel they are willingly crippling the older models to run worse than they actually should.
There is one option left i did not try yet which i might test, and thats installing an ancient version driver.
That might solve instant the crap which has been created by nvidia

who uses Geforce Experience to figure out game settings? Unless you are totally not capable of figuring out the best settings for you, there is no need.

The issue is that you expect a program build to set these for the 63 games i own is really handy, the fact that it actually screws them up is what is being discussed.
Its a pretty nasty task to set them all back at proper settings, really pissed me off.

No need for this whatsoever apart from if recording with Shadowplay. Simply put settings to Ultra and remove options until YOU deem a game playable...not some random Nvidia jock.

Just don't use it. Figuring out what works best for your system on your own is the best way to do it anyways.

If you are still having problems with even the new ones that supposedly add Kepler optimization back in, then 347.88 is your answer till they get it figured out...and its not ancient. It is from March. My 780 operates perfectly on that one.

Paul if you do experience the same issues with games like some of us you can try 347.88 or like me go back to 344.75
It depends on the games you play i think, or you might notice the graphics seems slower than you used to see.
The Asus titan still a powerfull enough card to play most games pretty well.

For example some games suddenly run sloppy and slow, others showed massive fails in the graphics like ETS2 where the ground in the game became a enormous white blur. Other games instant crash. Like Skyrim V, same The batman games and Sins of solar empire.

I removed the geforce experience crap and installed the 347.88 but that did not solve the problem with all games.

Now back at 344.75 and this far most game run fine again, some still crash but they might have damaged game files from the frequent crashes.
To be on the safe side will reinstall the games which failed to start with 344.75, they have ran fine in the paste.
I had to go over all the games i play at the moment and set all of them back to the best settings for that particulair game.
