I learned that if i voltmod my 7600GS to 1.7 Volts, it will double clock speed. Normally i will benefit from this at 100% cuz the vram is ddr3, not ddr2 and what is more it is 80nm (latest modification)
I am really proud to have a card like this, cuz it competes 8600GS when overclocks to max. Normally my voltage is 1.1 which means it is totally stock. If only anyone could help me voltmod my 7600GS i am totally sure it will come up to 8800GT. Till now my card has beaten the 7600GT 90nm. The only difference between gs and gt 7600 is that gt is 1.3 volts and gs is 1.1
I think the real differences between the cards like 8600 or 9600 is the manufacturing technology lets people voltmod them higher.

At least this time the card with more memory is actually faster. Those that get the higher priced option get more value for money first time ever. We have 2GB and 4GB cards in ATI lineup that just consume more power and cost more for next to nothing in performance.

To be objective, 2GB cards do have a purpose but vendors sell them as if they will give all users an increase. If you run on 30" screens with lots going on the extra does make a difference but more importantly, if you have 'many' screens it makes the difference.

The 2GB i-finity models are specifically for multi monitor use - theres no point buying one over a standard version otherwise.
The 4GB models are just for show (at £800-900, c'mon!) these beasts are for people that know better but have too much money.

768GB aint a lot of memory, my old GTX260 had slowdown issues....

What? And have the better 256bit models go out of stock? Blah! Let the uninformed buy the cheaper model.

hopefully the GF104 can OC like a monster. I cant wait for the reviews. 336 Cuda cores at 850Mhz-900Mhz would be beautiful.

It's never ending. People complain there's not enough cards, and then they complain there's too many.

Like any valued purchase, you either do your homework, or you're just an ignorant consumer.
In the end it's no one's fault but your own, and it hardly means that xyxyx company is any worse or better, because they offered options that you couldn't be bothered to research.

Give it a rest...

The 460 isn't released yet, so my choice would be the 5850 since it's your only choice.
