I tried overclocking my 760 and when i go to run valley benchmark it freezes and then a notice pops up telling me that the driver(newest nvidia driver) has crashed and fixed itself. Any help would be appreciated

There might be a way of unlocking the voltage through a BIOS update but most likely is that the voltage controller doesn't support under/overvolting. If you can't see the voltage status in GPUz (found under the sensors tab) or afterburner then it is most likely that the voltage controller is just a basic one. I had this issue with my r9 280x windforce rev2.0 from Gigabyte.

Just go up 10-15mhz from stock incrementally and use valley or 3dmark to test it each time for stability, games can be used to but stability will vary across different from titles from my experience.

Also sometimes a different driver version will give you different results. I remember 314.22 was the best driver for overclocking my gtx 580 ages ago (I wouldn't recommend using 314.22 now, just using it as an example). Newer ones made it crash at the same clocks.

Thanks a ton man. I can see the voltage in afterburner it just wont let me move the slider. Im also gonna go back to the last driver and see if it helps

Just to check, have you gone into settings in afterburner and checked "unlock voltage control" and "unlock voltage monitoring"?

I double checked and they were both unlocked. I could get to +50 on the core clock and anything past that would freeze since i cant raise the voltage. I even switched drivers
