Gigabyte is readying a new compact wireless mouse, the M7650. Available in glossy black and pearl white, the M7650 is kidney-shaped with two extra buttons on its left-side, a larger left-click button, and a slanted rubberized scroll-wheel, making it best-suited for right-handed users. It measures 104 (L) x 66 (W) x 38 (H) mm, and runs on two AA-sized batteries. With typical alkaline batteries and usage, the mouse should run for 5 months before needing a battery change. The mouse uses a 1000 dpi optical sensor for precise tracking. It uses a 2.4 GHz nano receiver, with a range of up to 10 meters. The company did not give out pricing details.

    Also left-handed

This mouse is ugly, and doesn't last very long. I'm sitting here with a logitech mouse that has a nano receiver, and 2 AA last 12 months.

    Let's see...

    fugly
    no special tracking method
1/2 the battery life of a Microsoft mouse, while using 2xAA batteries vs 1xAA
    fingerprint magnet

So far, there's 4 reasons why this is a major FAIL. I can't believe this product even made the news section, c'mon.

I guess having it made into news here is news itself.

Just looking at it makes me want to kill people.

Maybe they were hoping non-techies would think it's cool and give one to actual techies for Christmas. Bit late for that, don't you think?

Why didn't they make a banana mouse, instead of a bean mouse?
