Just saw Maban's giveaway that ended, and it occurred to me that we could use another giveaway. ;) and speaking of Maban, I sort of borrowed his format :p

This time around some oldies but goldies, some sequels!

    How to enter:
    • Let's talk sequels. Post about your favorite sequels ever and why it's your favorite, or alternatively post about your least favorite sequels! It can be either a video game or a movie, perhaps a book for those that love reading ;) Somewhere in your post, please indicate which game you are entering for.

    Requirements:
    • 35 posts and a Steam account

    Deadline and Drawing:
    • Ending Saturday the 7th (+/-), and the winners will be selected via www.random.org

That's it, let's get this party started! :toast:

Not entering the Giveaway , but i want to thank you for it.
Mass effect 2 was my favorite sequel because it had right amount of plot twist and honored what previous game was and didn't shy away from doing new things , it was the perfect sequel for me. Cant say the same for mass effect 3 :p
    manofthem says thanks.

Mafia, your post sparked a thought, and I changed the OP to include least favorite as well, for I do believe that horrible sequels far outweigh awesome ones.

Hey then worst sequel for me is recently released Ashes Cricket 2013 which is the worst game ever made, it was sequel to well made Ashes Cricket 09.
It has been cancelled after launch, removed from steam and people are getting refunds for it.
There can't be a worst sequel then this:p

not entering but I pick u Splinter Cell Conviction, I liked splinter cell but after that mess I was done with splinter cell, the previous 2 are probably 2 of the best stealth games since the ps2 was released, then theirs conviction which is pretty much a shooting spree, as a stealth game its garbage and its just a disgrace to the series, If I had to rate it against other stealth titles I would give it a -x/10(x can be any number you want)

    I'm entering for System Shock 2 :)

Movies: Terminator 2 Judgment Day was the best sequel the original Terminator could ask for. Classic movie in it's own right. The special effects were absolutely amazing for it's time and I still watch it every now and again till this day. Aliens to Alien was pretty epic also.

Games: Half-Life 2 was also an amazing sequel to Half-Life. It was a hard act to follow since HL was such a revolutionary game for it's time (story-wise/gameplay-wise). Going old school, Skate or Die 2 was the worst sequel to the original Skate or Die for the NES.

    System Shock 2 please!

Movie - It's gotta be Aliens........yikes too scary.
Games - Not really a sequel but the DLC (Minerva's Den) for Bioshock 2 was amazing.

I'll probably extend the giveaway for a day or so, based on interest, but don't worry... it won't drag out forever :p

I'd love me a copy of that SS2. I had one a long time ago but I've misplaced the CD.

Worst movie sequel: the 2nd and 3rd Matrix movies. What a let down :/
Best movie sequel: I loved me all of them "From Dusk Till Dawn" movies
Worst game sequel: Diablo 3. They really lost me there...
Best game sequel: way too hard to narrow down. I'd say Thief 2 because it really built up on the previous game.

I already have the System Shock 2 (which is btw one of the most epic games i've evr played in my whole life), but i would place myself in the queue for Lost Planet 2. Never played one, i only remember complaints over how demanding it was on hardware. But if i by any chance get Lost Planet 2, i sure will buy Lost Planet 1 first and play that. After all there are 3 games so far (right?) and it would be smart to play it from the beginning.
