Seriously, this is what would've happened. This entry is actually for my brother as he loves this series but can't really spend on games atm. He probably would've been some kind of road bandit, FWIW.

I would have loved to have been a blacksmith, not just because it was a necessary job or that I find the idea of making weapons that kill people enjoyable but simply because the idea of smelting, smiting and hammering my own creations, my own masterpieces sounds cool. I'd do it as a hobby today if I had the tools and money to do it.

I would have been an ex-soldier. Survivor of many campaigns who favored a short sword and shield. After my final campaign I opened up a Inn & stable and spent my later years getting drunk, telling tall tales and smacking wenches on the bum. My Inn would be a favorite spot to stop in at for anyone looking for good ale, a buxom girl to keep you warm at night, and not so great food.

In magical fantasy medieval setting I would be an old man, gray haired scholar for those who don't know me and powerful sorcerer for those who would have the misfortune to stand in my way. My powers would be conjuration, mind control and life draining magic that would make me younger, more dexterous and tougher temporarily during the encounter. After I drain life, I would transform into young assassin wielding conjured spectral daggers.

I can immerse myself in any role in a fantasy game, but this kind of role where character is not what he seems is always fun to play.
As of now, I'm entering this giveaway.

I would have been a young monk who accidentally discovered electricity whilst studying. My weapon of choice would be a wooden stave, however it has been modded with the power of electricity, so that I can knock out my foes without drawing blood (and continuing to follow my monk principles).

This is.....will be the best game of the year. And everybody from the industry knows it.
My theory: witcher could have been launched in 2014 November. There was in 2013 actually a release date that showed Witcher Wild Hunt in the third trimester of 2014. After that in 2014 at the beginning of the year they moved it to February 2015,final release end up being may 2015. Thus they did not want to put up a fight with Far Cry 4 and Dragon Age Inquisition. CD Projekt Red completely intimidated by Bioware.
Inquisition won best video game of the year of 2014 in the Gamespot Awards Ceremony in Vegas.
Should CD Projekt Red be intimated by Bioware? Maybe. Considering the hype created around Inquisition. Not to mention a very strong comback of Far Cry 3 in the Far Cry 4 title( 2014) witch before launch was looked upon as the next best thing (it wasn't...but still).

Who and what is going up against Witcher Wild Hunt in 2015 ?
- Batman arkham knight : cuz you love Batman (if you do) and it's the end of the saga. After this one they say there gonna rethink the entire game play and bring a brand new graphics engine. However 2015 is not that year.
- Tom clancy's the division : a great action game that will do just that and probably nothing more.
- Uncharted 4: and the reason why we all love gaming. It should be better then you think,but on single platform i don't think so. Uncharted drakes deception back in 2011 was game of the year,but ever since ... the industry told us they will not give "best game" to a single platform anymore.
- Halo 5 guardians: and the final push in witch Microsoft has to convince you in 2015 that you need a Xbox
- Just cause 3 : well there's GTA 5,and neither of them are getting "game of the year"
- Assassin's creed victory: is Ubisoft's "apology game" after Unity catastrophic disaster. Yes you will need to climb at the top of the highest building to synchronize another viewpoint. Does not sound like "game of the year" to me .

Witcher Wild Hunt is in a great comfort zone in 2015. Why ? Because is should be that good! That epic! And it will probably be worth every single minute of gameplay. So why didn't they put up a fight back in 2014 ?

@Cvrk Well, the reason why is well documented in press releases by CDPR. They wanted to spend this year January to May bug-testing and polishing the hell out of it. They wanted to do things right. I have no problem with that...take all the time you need guys!

Fortunately it's a luxury they have being an independant studio/publisher. They have no one to answer to about release dates. In an ideal world all studios would be able to operate like that!

I'd be a sniper archer assassin. It's nothing more satisfying than a deadly arrow blow in the face from a really long distance I'm not sure if Witcher 3 will offer that, but it was very satisfying in TES Oblivion, Skyrim and in Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, especially when the poor victim flies across entire room/half the forest and gets stuck on the wall/tree

I just finished witcher 2 again yesterday. With texture pack there are places where it still looks stunning. The biggest puzzle is, what kind of choices will carry on to the third game from the second one.

I would also like to know that. Cuz i felt disappointed in the story of Witcher 2. In the first game i have chosen a neutral path. Witch i thought it was so incredible rewarding since the game was constantly forcing you to choose a side (but not to stay neutral),and i managed to stay neutral after all that.
Witcher Assassin of Kings started good,story wise,and finished not so good. Focusing all on the exact title of the game,rather then Geralt's personal story. I am talking about discovering his past in connection with Triss Merigold.
It's about 20% in the game when you make love to Triss in that cave (or whatever it was) and she tells you that the two of you together will find out what happened in Geralt's past. Right there for me got so much interesting,and it was only at the beginning. Sadly Triss disappears completely,and i am left with "the actual story" trying to find this king slayer. I mean sure that is the title of the game,and you're supposed to do just that. I was just more interested to see how my own story would come along and the fact that i choose to "stay neutral" all this time.
Hopefully Witcher Wild Hunt will pick up Geralt's past story and having Triss in his life once again ....cuz i feel like i just wanna stay with that woman. Not to mention i want my old friends back from Witcher 1 : Dandelion, Alvin and Zoltan
