With over 10 billion dollars to spend, Google may be considering buying YouTube for $1.6 billion. While both companies decline comment on the matter, it makes perfect business sense. With over 100 million videos viewed daily, Google would gain all of what it has been missing in Google video. While they would gain all of the legal problems YouTube has been accused of having, such as hosting copyrighted content, Google may pose a solution. Coding something that filters copyrighted content from being submitted in the first place would be very easy for such a big company like Google.

well thats stupid as they would be turning youtube back into google video of which they already have, why do they think youtube is so successful (coming soon, google video 2 :D ) lol they'll loose so many ratings, for instance you can go to youtube and watch something like the latest music videos again after you just watched it on a music channel, if they have $10 billion dollars to spend why dont they spend $1.6 on youtube and the rest $8.4 billion on making the content legal?

That would be cool, Google is good at finding effective non-intrusive ways to get ads to the consumer, so we could get higher streaming video quality. As of now, both google and youtube suck quality-wise.
