Working on my 2nd custom loop converting my NR200P from air.

My first loop after a few years has been doing well and I have a lot of spare parts so I figured why not have another go at it?

Preparing my RX 6700 XT for the Alphacool block I snagged on a discount back in January 2023.

These are the only pastes I have on hand. I used the NT-H1 on my RX 5700 last time. Seems to be ok.

I forgot that the GPU block came with some kind of Alphacool Subzero thermal paste too.

As for TIM, I'm assuming the Thermal Grizzly is Kryonaut (I'd use that).

Lookin good. I'd use PTM7950 or Kryosheet though. Don't want to be taking apart that loop more often than absolutely necessary. idk about the Corsair paste but NT-H1 would not be my top choice for direct die.

ps. I think your cleanup job is perfect. Even if I didn't, I still can't judge. Mine looked like this before block:

It seems to me that you spent a lot of unnecessary time to get it excessively clean, as a joke. Is this thread for real?

looking good, and just keep it mind that less thermal paste is better than over and blobbing paste

nah
If it isn't conductive, within reason, there is no such thing as too much. Excess just squeezes out and is harmless.
Conversely, too little is definitely possible.
