One of my Corsair TX 750w finally died after many years of use. Right now I'm using a Gigabyte Superb 550w for my second system. :shadedshu

I have $250. Now either I buy a new psu for the system to run a card but I would have to wait for christmas (i'm a kid) to have the funds for the gpu. OR. I buy a card and run all the hardware off the psu but I have a Thermaltake 650w GPU power supply which I can run off. I'm not sure which to choose over the other. :slap:
So new gpu or psu? Thanks :eek:

Neither, looking at your system specs you have a hardware addiction:) save your money until December, by that time prices for GPU's may have come down a bit and new tech will be available, then make a purchase in the sales in January if you have them.

Edit: wait for the nVidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti or save your $ and go with a GTX 670 at a later date

Get a graphics card, GPUs at that price will work easily with the 550W PSU, a friend of mine bought a HD6950 and he has the exact Gigabyte Superb 550W i thought it would be a problem but it works till this day since last year.

I have to agree with you st.bone. Alot of the newer cards can run with such low consumption it's funny. I guarantee you were on the bleeding edge(maybe even more) of that TX750W with those GTS250's, a GTX560Ti 448/GTX570 would do that rig justice.
