GPU Overheating

I recently bought a new GPU for my PC. When I'm browsing the GPU temperature is about 35c. I'm really happy that I can run GTA on high with more then 60fps but one problem is that my GPU temperature is getting above 65c and it's making a lot of noise. I don't know how I can fix it and if there's a way to fix it.

Here are my PC specs.
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 760
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor
RAM: 8GB
Motherboard: Asus M5 A97 LE R2.0
OS: Microsoft Windows 8.1

I would like to know how I can fix my GPU from making noise and being overheat. I'm not entirely sure if it's my GPU that's making the noise but I don't know what else it could be. I hope you guys can help me out.

(I'm sorry if there are any grammatical mistakes, I'm Dutch)

65 is quite normal for temps at load. Actually its pretty good. Up to 85 or 90 can be seen with some cards. As for the noise is it your fans spinning up? If so download a oc utility like afterburner and create a custom profile for your fans sounds like you could slow them down a bit with 65c. If its a high pitched whine it is the coil resonating and it is also common. Some people return the card because of it but it may happen to the new card as well. It's a gamble but if it's driving you crazy and you can live without your card for awhile then it's worth a shot. Most people just live with it.
Edit: P.s. welcome to Tpu.

Thanks for the help, @Tallencor If these things don't work I might have to buy a noise cancelling headphone. But you're saying that having above 70c is quite normal? If so then I don't think I'll have to worry about my GPU exploding or anything like that.

If you aren't sure where the noise is coming from i would suggest using a piece of pipe, hold one end to your ear and the other end you can direct inside your case. It makes it easier to pinpoint the source of the noise. I have tried it and it works, i used a short piece of garden hose.

It is a tip i picked up at TPU ..... I just searched the Very Useful Gadget Thread ....it was @Jetster 's suggestion

As has been mentioned, your temps are fine.

Do you have any additional fans in the case other than the one that it came with? What PSU do you have?

Okay, I thought that maybe you really increased the heat load from the GPU, but you only went up about 30 watts. w1zzard's test of an ASUS GTX 760 DirectCU II OC 2 GB (is that the model you have?) showed 68C under load so you're temps are not out of line, but he only recorded 33 dBs, which is really not enough to hear outside of the case. Spring is bringing warmer temperatures. Your case does not breathe well - it depends on the PSU to remove heat from the case. What I think is happening is that when you put all of those factors together, you have a PSU fan spinning up to try to cool the PSU, but it's having to suck all that warm air from the other system components through it as well.
Experiment: Take the side cover off of the case and blow air into it with a house fan. (hopefully a quiet one:laugh:) If you do not hear fans spin up, then your case is the problem.
I do agree that you need to listen to where the sound is coming from. Try to isolate what fan you are hearing. I really doubt that it's the GPU unless there's something wrong with it.
Edit:
there is 1 additional fan in the case.
Where, and which way is it blowing?

do you have the original cooler on the amd fx4300?
you could just start a game and open the case-if its that loud then ya should be able to locate the source. like bumblebee said.

Check there is nothing obstructing any moving parts. Can't count how many people I have told on /r/BAPC to check their cables which solved the problem because one was rubbing against a fan.

What pitch is the noise, coil whine is usually several kHz, could also be damaged bearings on a fan, which would usually be somewhat lower.

I run 68c on my oc during Valley/Haven but real stressing with furmark (which I only did once) saw it reach 80c. Good airflow is key like the others here suggest.

Do you hear the same noise when you start your computer, and it ends just before you enter windows? If yes, its probably the GPU fan, if not then you should check CPU and PSU fans

The temperatures of your GPU are fine. They are designed to be able to run much higher than that. I think you are hearing alot of fan activity because case airflow may not be the best, and the card fan is working hard to exhaust hot air.

I came a little late but I would like to help a little!
in the little information about your rig I can see that you have a Sharkoon VS3-V Case, the airflos is like the following fig?
upload_2015-5-14_9-46-11.png

Blue arrows means intake fresh air…
Red arrows means hot air exhaust…

That case supports 3 120mm fans, 2 intake, front & side window, 1 exhaust rear or back,
So with the correct setup, airflow may be decent enough to let heat get out the case and new fresh air flowing along the case for optimal refrigeration, so let us know how is your fan setup going,

Also for temp monitoring you can use HWinfo, it will show you pretty more sensors on the motherboard, for complete temp monitoring, take a look:

about the Graphics card, how old is that card with you? is used or you got it brand new?

some times repasting and cleaning out a card may bring a excellent experience with it, also thermal crap applied or pre-applied to GPU's is not always done under the correct methods,

Also listen your specs may help us to help you, you can fill them here: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/account/specs

Your fans specs are wrong:
Fan configuration:
Front panel: 1x 120 mm LED fan (pre-installed)
Side panel: 1x 120 or 140 mm fan (optional)
Rear panel: 1x 80 or 92 mm fan (optional)

Yeah I'd be tempted to mod that case side with a dremel and put another fan on the side and make it exhaust looks like there's plenty of room to do it

65 c is not a lot for a gpu. But you could do one of two things IMO. First, that side fan is the key to success. From my experience front intake fan isn't as important as having that 140mm (in your case) side fan. So one option is to buy and install a side fan or simply relocate your front intake on the side. Second option is to get some kind of aftermarket GPU cooler. One affordable option is this: DeepCool V200. You can slap in any fan you'd like. Although since you have Asus DirectCu II, I don't know if it is really going to make it better, since it's already a very good colling solution.
