    Hello all,

I'm fed up with Ebuyer and I've asked for a refund for my ATi 4850. Its the second one I've had and it took them 3 weeks to collect my old one and send out a new one. What a Joke....

Any how - I'm hoping that one of you chaps might have something lying about.

It doesn't have to be a ATi 4850 - But I would like it to be either that or higher spec.

£100 budget - Not alot, but I can pick up a new 4850 for £110....

So - Hit me with your offers...:)

    :toast:

Refurbished cards are cards that had problems that the manufacturer has fixed, so essentially, they are once-flawed cards that are manufacturer repaired. Sometimes a manufacturer will sell something as refurbished if if wasn't flawed, but that's usually what happens.

It's not a refurb, it's a "new"........ their B Grade stock is listed seperatly. Please bare in mind though that generally, the 8800GTX, whilst still a good card, does not quite hit the performance across the board that the 4850 does, in fact you would be as well off getting the 9800GT listed at £99 and overclocking the sh*t outta it, they overclock much better than the 8800GTX and once overclocked you will probably get better performance.

Kyle is a bad boy! Thats my secret shop that I shared with him and asked that he did not advertise it :shadedshu

I get a discount with them also so I just got two GTX280's for £200 each :toast:

You might be as well getting a 4830, they overclock like madmen and again when clocked they can match a 4850 and are cheaper and within budget, here is a nice factory OC one from MSI.........

I wouldn't mind buying from the US, But I don't want it to be DOA.

:banghead: - Knowing my luck, it will be and the seller wont be able to afford to replace / refund it. :banghead:

I got a Sapphire 2900XT (pro flashed to XT) you can have for 80 euros plus shipping. Which would pan out to about 70 pounds plus shipping

Not too bad, i would have to ballpark about 13 euros for shipping. Anything higher I would cover.

Well, the 2900 Pro's were out for a short time. They were a Nitche market from ATI to fight with the 8800's in the price bracket. It is flashed to a stock ATI 2900XT Bios and works flawlessly. I have had it for about 1 year , and it has sat in a box for the past 5 months since I am running 4850's in crossfire now. Its a great performer without a doubt and with the 512 bit memory interface, its quite nice. Compared to a 4850, hmmm. Well, the 4850's are newer designs different drivers etc.. But I would say that 1 2900XT would be on par with 1 4850. But given what the 2900XT cost new compared to the 4850, the 4850 would be the better deal if you were looking at them side by side in a store. The 2900XT was a MONSTER in its time and is still a great card given the price.
