GTX 295 is my suggestions ~ however I am bias>>
Had two 4870's in Crossfire and was dissapointed with their performance. I am amazed with the performance with the 295
If you cannot afford the 295, go with the 285 ~ I find the NVIDIA drivers to currently be superior to the ATI drivers (personal opinion after three years of owning ATI GPU's).
im in exactly the same boat, had 2x4870 in CF now have GTX295 and it is in a completely different echelon, a core i7 system would do one justice... add a little overclocking...
a big +1 for the GTX295 right here.
