My nephew wants to install GTA San Andreas on windows 10 from steam, when he starts the game direct x 9 wont install for some reason.

Can he download and install from this? http://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=34429

I dont see "support" for windows 8 nor 10 but can he still install it?
(thats what he told me)

I'll try to download and run... 5mins

No problems... fine and dandy... and gosh... it looks so weird... about direct X... take w1zzards GPU-Z and try the bench... if direct x is not present it will auto download the redist.

So it should work.

Update, he could run it now but the game locked up in the menu he said.
Maybe driver issue?
He's going to bed now, I'll tell him to install the latest driver for his nvidia gt620 tomorrow.

In the menu? The arrow and enter keys works only there... no mouse support. I guess you have to be a product made in the eighties to even accept 16bit depth in graphics settings menu :D And that underwear sticking out of the pants... my eyes hurt :D

Btw... when steam install finished... it triggered some direct input update from optional microsoft modules... did he cancel that?

I'm not sure I only chat with him on steam, but he said the game would run now, just stuck in the menu. Ok I tell him to try with the arrow keys tomorrow!
