    why would microsoft think people care if its version of gta sold better than sony's?

    Tons of people care, it's unkown why but people do. Things have changed from how it used to be...Know all the hardcore gamers care about big franchise titles that get somewhat overhyped on many levels. Once released people care a lot about which "console" sells more...

    that just creates fanboys who have nothing better to do but complain on the internet. im sure that in some way this helps microsofts financial numbers by raising investor confidence.
