The different prefix is probably because it would be a slightly different GPU. And would be released later than the other next-gen cards.

:slap: I said if real, as mentioned it is in what appears to be FPS as opposed to some of the other charts they use to make it look like they have lots more performance when in truth they are really showing gains of 30-40% when you look at the actuals measurements they go by.

I suppose this is plausible as the 560TI performed similarly to gtx 470 and it seems here that a 760 performs similarly to a 570 so plausible imo. But the 790 scores seem a little too good to be true, especially if they have to downclock the gpus like they did with the 590.

EDIT: Anyway, that looks bogus. The GTX790 doesn't scale all that well, around 36% more fps, and has a ~56% increase in fps over the 590.

Maybe they won't have to downclock the GPUs with the 28nm fab, unless they screw up and shell out a huge chip like Fermi is, also knowing Nvidia will prolly happen -.-

1k euros GPUs? :D Nvidia will probably force AMD to lower 7970 price, provided they can outperform them this time

Ati wont need to lower their prices, Nvidia cards are always more expensive.

And then what would we have to pay, 600+ USD/Euros for the new top SINGLE Nvidia GPU? Seems silly to me.
