i have a 550watt power supply, 2.8ghz dual core cpu, and 2gb 800mhz ram upgrade from this pc, but would this card fit? if u look up the motherboard for this pc u can see the cpu is mega close to the pci express slot... would the gts 250 be too fat and hit the cpu in this pc?

dont think it will fit,on the board the card would sitting fan up ,it looks as if it would hit the massive chunk of aluminum you have there,to be safe measure from the back of your case to the front 11 inches thats how long my gts250 is

well the mother board is C51PVGM-GB 4006136R and heres a pic of the motherboard. theres actually a good bit of space but i want a few more opinions. [IMG] and the screws on the heatsink and the wires arent in the way. its just the big chunk of hs im worried about. and theres plenty of length i have like 14" and also wut kind of newb designs a motherboard like this where the gpu might hit the cpu?!!!

AGree with you AthlonX2. It totally wouldn't fit:

    1) Stock heatsink for cpu is in the way.

    2) 24pin ATX Main power connection is also in the way.

You would have to look into a single slot solution for an upgrade.

    edit:

Sorry for that Athlon, I corrected my punctuation. :p

ok now measure 11 inches from the back towards the front off the case, and from the bottom of the pci express slot towards the top 2 inches and kinda put a rectangle image in your head,i think it would be close but dont think it will work

don't do it, even if you managed to fit a gts250 in there, from the looks of that case, it would suck in nothing but hot air straight from the cpu heatsink or from the small case and die, don't do it.

why did you remove the fan from the cpu heatsink

i didnt remove the fan, the fan is located on the side of the heatsink inside this big green thing... and heat isnt an issue ive installed 2 120mm fans on the side of the case, top fan is outtake bottom is intake, which is directly above where the grafix card will be. i also have arctic silver 5 which will help a bit with the cpu temp + an aftermarket cpu fan/hs

i would say go with HD4770 it will fit and it is same level of performance as HD4850 or GTS250 + it has very low TDP:)
