    They're 9800GTX+. The GTS240 is gonna be the 8800/9800GT.

Not that I know of. Nvidia allowed the use of 9800GT Green Edition and such but the GTS240 is still coming out.

eh maybe, price is a big difference.

    CheapestGTS 250 on egg + free farcry 2. $129
    CheapestGTX 260 on egg, 216SP version. $179

So budget is what he would need to look at first before considering the GTX 260.

I have the XFX GTS 250. Its just a bit longer then the 9600GT an has only one 6 pin connector. (some are quite a bit longer and have 2)

On 3DMark06 its about 1K better than the 9800GT. (at stock clocks)

I think the longer cards with dual 6 pin connectors are just 9800GTX+s.. I like the shorter single connector cards better.

i agree, aren't the GTS 250 supposed to be 55nm? yet i don't see any specification on the egg. probly literal re-named 9800GTX+'s instead of true GTS 250's

I've seen 250 GTS with one 6 pin, two 6 pin, and even one 8 pin... make sure you know what you're buying first.

yeah, the zotac one has a 8 pin connector while the asus one has two 6 pin conector.

most of the other brands has only 1 connector though
