Yes, this is the right one
I got it working man.. I was trying to delete the original .inf file... instead of just adding it.. Thanks for helping man!
Yea, i scrolled thru inf file and it had all neccesary info about cards.
If Cold Storm's given *.inf doesn't work for someone, try this (i pasted all cards info from 175 over this) 32 bit Vista BTW
Still waiting for 32 and 64 bit XP's *.inf's
And full Cuda Physix support too
Dude, I got it to work... and I'm in ahhh! lol just added the modded .inf file to the 177.26 folder and it worked!
Vantage run on stock!
Congratz Cold Storm
Too bad i didn't ran benchmarks with old 175's to check difference in performance.
Yeah, but you can probably see the jump in games!
Yes i'm playing GRID, COD4 and Crysis sometimes.
Ok, now i'm going to bed, cuz it's 1:15 am here and i have an exam in programming languages (where i don't know almost anything ) tomorrow (ok today)
BTW still waiting for XP's *.inf's
I hope the best for ya man! and good luck! Thanks for the help!!!
here ye be
thanks heaps for trying dude, and thanks for the info about how you did the mods, all very helpful.
i have vista x64 sp1 ready to install but if my mate cant use 177.26 with them then im reluctant to make the move, performance is so darn good right now.
rock awn Nvidia
My old vantage score was P7415 with my GPUs at 775Mhz, I couldn't get them stable at that speed this time so I just did my 24/7 clocks and I got a 500pt boost from these drivers
Also I was playing crysis earlier and I was thinking "hell, if anything these lowered my frames!" then I realized I had SLi off, played it with SLi on and it was night and day. Thanks alot guys.
Edit: My old Vantaga score, just realized I never OCed my ram this time around either
if anyone wants to see comparison b/w these and 175.70 look here in my thread .
damn man, did you even get any sleep!?!? Thanks for the modded drivers!
Of course, it's 7:28 AM right now, and i got up 30 minutes ago
I don't know if they are or aren't CUDA-enabled-cards-only drivers, so someone with 5. to 7. series GeForce can try them on and let us now if they works
That sounds good! have to wait for it!!!
Hope the exams go well man!
Since it's only school's exam, i can re-write it if i'll fail at this time.
has anything changed on these most recent ones from the last vista x64 ones of yours i tried pagalms?
there drivers are so win.
Oh my lord are they WIN!!! Can't wait to get the CPU to clock higher!
I would like to volunteer for 7 series card, heh d/ling the drivers for xp x64 now.. Btw I only got OpenGL Fur Benchmark, couple of games CoD4, and Grid to test... I could run both on high with my panels native res 1024x768, although CoD4 with minimal shadows and a bit of gfx tweaks. Hope it's ok?
Nop, i didn't found anything else that i can change.
The main thing is to check if they works on 5. 6. and 7. series cards, so go on, i'll be waiting
Alright d/ling it now.. Gonna post back as soon as I'm finished installing it. (xfingers hope it works for old gen )
thanks for trying pagalms, it really means a lot, and especially explaining how you did it along the way, i really liked that.
all i ever had to modify for myself was the [version] string and the Localizable Strings, so im glad you mentioned your process.
SO WIN and whats weird is that word of these drivers on 8xxx/9xxx cards hasn't gotten out yet! the world doesn't yet know how awesome they are! boy are they in for a surprise......
Oh man... I know that now! Tinkering with it made my card almost right there in Vantage with my CPU... These drivers are just killer with the 9800gx2!
its making me want to buy 1 of 3 things, either a second 9800GTX for SLi, another 9600GT 1gb for SLi or a 9800GX2...........i dunno if ill buy any yet, but i reaaaallllly want to
