ooo i see..., so my gfx has cuda abilities, with more complex instructions. hmm..., yes, in some synthetic benchmark e.g aquamark my gfx slower with new driver. anyway, i'm still use it, cause in some real game it's seem faster.

Everything

, we use it for everything

and all physx is is using the graphics card to render physics thru CUDA

CUDA is just the interface between the card itself and the software/os being able to use it for general computing.

nvidia physx is simply one software implementation of CUDA. its got alooooooooooot of potential

If you can mod the CUDA then I don't see why not... Remember, if a modder has the right tools for the job, he can do whatever he wants!

you can absolutely do that, i have a 9600GT 1gb and 2x8600GT hanging about just for that purpose!

and if my calculations are even semi correct, an 8600GT should have about the same physx processing muscle as the original ageia card, so anything better has more power

Ageia Physics has 128MB 128 Bit DDR3 memory and from what i found over teh internets, cards power is similar to 5600 Ultra, so 8600 is much powerful.

But how can i specify which card to use? And what about this: i have Nforce 570SLI mobo, which runs @ 16x in single card and 8x in SLI. If i put in 8600, will my main card (8800gts) work @ 16x or 8x?

Whenever you go Sli or Crossfire with the effects of 16x and 8x, the lines are all ways like this... The top will all ways be the 16x because of the fact its suppose to be the primary card, while the second one will be the 8x because of it being the secondary... then, if that doesn't help... Newegg can show you what you need to know.. or should have it broken down...

I only tested in 3D06, cos I am soo impatient I forgot to test some games:

Everything on stock...should I be getting more boost/higher score with old and new drivers?

Not in 06, some benches like 06 and aquamark haven't been showing the advantages, Vantage, Crysis, and Devil May Cry 4 are benches that are really showing the gains.

There shouldn't be a BIG difference in your scores... You should be able to jump good, but I don't think its a huge jump. I would take a boost if any as great results.. :toast:

Well, I tried crysis, and I am not seeing anything spectacular, fps are around the same, but, that was going through the later levels - (they seem to be more intensive GFX wise). I am gonna start from the beginning tomorrow cos I remember my FPS that I had at the beginning with the old drivers. Maybe I am expecting miracles that shouldn't be happening, LOL! I still think the FPS on crysis were best with 174.40 - the ones on the cd, but with em, the game would quit after a while and it was driving me nuts...

Guys, a little update.. the new Nvidia physx system just came out for the new GTx cards and so on... well... I got a little news for you all.. It works with the last modded drivers! I installed it with the 177.35 drivers, and I got it up and running!
And I JUMP in Vantage greatly!

Nvidia gets a big advantage in 3DMark Vantage because of PhysX on GPU tech

We were able to get a first impression of the PhysX performance of Nvidia’s
latest cards by using the company’s ForceWare Rel177.39 drivers and an
executable file named PhysX 8.06.12.exe. We found that the new ForceWare
driver has serious installation problems and the software felt a bit rushed to
us. The problems have been corrected by now.

Aside from that hiccup, Nvidia appears to have a jewel on its hands. The
results we saw in the CPU Test 2 - Crash'n'Burn Physics discipline were
impressive. So, how much more physics horsepower does the GPU deliver in
physics than the CPU?

Our Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 clocked at 3802 MHz delivered a CPU score
of 15,005, which jumped to 42,436 using a single GTX 280 card. With two
GTX 280 boards, we got 42,374 CPU marks, and three GTX 280 boards
resulted in a CPU score of 41,387.
