So, I am upgrading my 4850, and I am looking for a graphics card that will keep my computer going for a few more years.

    My current stats:
    i7 920@3 ghz
    Radeon 4850
    6 gig RAM
    1 Tb HDD
    Asus P6T mobo
    1920x1080 monitor resolution

The card that I have been looking at is a Zotac GTX560. This looks like a pretty good, deal. Is it? Will it be able to run anything I can throw at it for the next year or two [battlfield 3]? If not, then what do you guys suggest?

No one knows what it will take to run BF3 just yet, so rather put the money you have for the GTX560 away and when BF3 is launched look at what cards perform well with the game at your monitors resolution.

I am doing a switcheroo with another card, for this card, so I can't wait. In general, is this a good deal for a 560, and is a 560 pretty good?

No, silly! Swapping it for 150$

I haven't been following graphics cards lately; do you think that a compirable card will be cheaper in the near future?

Bear in mind that the Zotac GTX 560's aren't very quiet. The reference 560 which many others make, is really silent, even when fully loaded.

TPU has reviewed both types of 560 and a few others, so I recommend looking them up before buying anything. If you can stretch to a 580, then you won't regret it. It blows away a 560 like you wouldn't believe - even an overclocked one. I know, because I compared them myself a while back. I kept the 580 when I saw the difference.

Considering that the 580's are literaly 4 times the price of the 560, that is quite a stretch!

    150$ are 93.0464 pounds.

Nah, they're generally less than double the price, depending on the brand, version and retailer. Only if you have some special deal going could you have a ratio like that.

Even with the deal you've got, it's only around 2.7 times more expensive. Still lot, yes, but not 4 times.

Do yourself a favor and get the 560Ti. Better card and at good price point for the performance. Will do just fine with BF3 but with what settings nobody knows right now.

Well, at that BF3 gameplay, the player was using GTX580 and he had like ~80fps on 1080p
