Do you already have your monitors? If not you could buy 3 x 21.5" instead in Eyeinfinity or NV surround

Well i dont want surround its kind of dumb, It makes the playing harder to do and its just for fun. Along with taking up space on my desk there is no point. Getting a 24 inch p2450H and then a 22 inch p2250 Both samsungs. 24 will be my main and then the monitor on the left will be the 22 inch for monitoring and multitasking.

It can actually help gaming as you get your normal ,game in the middle + peripheral vision on the sides! But to each his own!

Yes i know this, But added strain and more space to look accrossed has proven to actually slow your gameplay down to the point of you actually lacking performance. SO extremely dumb in my eyes

I was wondering if i could just go the cheap route and by a 6970 for now, And then in a month or so when the 6990 or 590 come out send the 6970 back for a full refund?, Will they do this? Then take the money and go get me one of them?

depends why you want to refund it, as far as I am aware usually it has to be defective, and the places I've been want to just straight swap it for an identical one, unless you kick up a fuss about not wanting another for piece of mind reasons...

I've never purchased from newegg before, so I dunno how they would react to essentially a 'change of mind' - but im sure a member here knows or the policy is somewhere on the site.

What about newegg?, What if i just want money back?..

nope by the time the new cards come out they won't take yours back at newegg. You have like a 30 day change your mind period and even then you'll get charged a 15% restocking fee. they sent you a new card you shipped them a used one they won't and shouldn't give you a full refund.

just sell the 6970 when the 6990/590 comes out that's what most of us do and if you do iut right you can get 90% of your money back that way. that's what 30$ for a couple months use? well worth it.

True that, Thanks very much for the help. Im just going to go with a single 6970 for now, Then when the new cards comes and they drop in price go with 2 or 3 way sli MAYBE if i dont go with the new cards :)
