Where the hell is PacMan and Super Mario Bros? Seriously CoD is not even a contender for what those did for the industry. Mario is now more recognized than Mickey Mouse as a brand world wide. Just looked at the back of the box of my PC copy of Advanced Warfare and noticed something. It briefly described the Day Zero content, but otherwise doesn't try to sell to you in any way. The back of many other game boxes try to convince you how fantastic their game is to try and sell it to you. Guess Activision don't have to when it's the biggest selling game out there.

In the earlier days of COD, I liked Medal of Honor, SOF(and even Delta Force) much better. After COD4 I stopped playing the game altogether.

It's only a record for biggest money making FPS, and as RCoon pointed out, most sold is not exactly a good way to determine best.

I look at all the net kiddies that like to jump into online FPS games and bunny hop and gloat about personal stats, and I see how mostly this franchise has if anything contributed to the downward spiral of game quality.
