Those of you who have waited for a video game to come out know how awesome a beta is. Unfortunately for Halo fans everywhere, the Halo 3 beta is only going to last three weeks. Obviously, most people with invites are wondering why it's going to be so short, especially after putting so much effort into getting a Beta invite. Bungie has this official answer to that question.
In short? Enjoy it while it lasts.

Well if you play it everyday then it's a decent amount of time... (I'll play it everyday)

Halo 3 is only three weeks long because they don't want anyone to get bored of it without actually buying it first.

Well, I wont miss signing up for this. However, those in the know (read: actually beta testers) will you please keep the rest of us abreast of the development and how it goes? Ive never actually played any of the Halo games, but Id love to know the progress of this one.

I guarantee there will be people who play it 18 hours/day for 3 weeks. Most good FPS players could become pro after 2 or 3 18 hour days.
