There is a preview of the HD 6990 over at [H]. The release of the card should be soon.

    I don't think it will be 1k...

That seems a bit high considering the costs of the 6970...

I call bull shit on this Antiles gpu... what's the big secret? what is so amayzing about this gpu that twin 6950's 90's cant do?

Till then we can only speculate... Plus Hard ocp review is usless. Why go on by saying we cant tell any spect's? A waste of time if you ask me, why write about nothing?... It's kinda like saying you can look but not touch...

Fools! No wonder I never frequent there site. I'll wait till the W1zzard gets this gpu b4 even thinking about buying it. At least he posts marks!

Key word was "preview", not "review".

not to get worked up over it :p as soon as i seen the word preview and HardOCP, i knew it was going to be a pointless article and pretty much a fluff/PR piece.

Na not getting worked up bro. I just think its a waste of time writing a preview. they keep saying they cant say the fps in games and such.... just a fail to me imo thats all. :toast:

why write about it if they cant say shit about it?

kuroikenshi, Undead46 and AlienIsGOD say thanks.

Yes they don't say much due to NDA which goes for any card but it does give me that it's on it's way pretty dam soon.

And what the twin 6950's cannot do is be single slot hehe.

And i bet their doing more than just looking i bet they benched the crap out of it lol. We will just have to wait and see i guess. Only other thing i am hoping for is for AC releasing a cooler for it.

A single slot can only run a certain band width. I've owned a 3870x2, 5970 gpu and it lagged compared to a twin slot configuration card.

maybe this time AMD get it right but i doubt it. But time will tell :toast:

I'm bouncing between opened shaders and stock shaders and playing with Power play, I betcha these 6950's/ 6970's are on par with the launch of the 6990 for less monies

Quad fire on a single x-fire bridge? Never going to happen. Two gpu's at the most. ;)

Yea, 599$ is the spot, considering HD6950 2GBs are selling for as low as 254.99$ after rebate
