I'm not really seeing much benefit to getting one of these to say 5970/ 2x 5870/ 2x 6950.

    2x 5970 still performs better. ^,^

The question is... GTX 590? :)

Why does AMD tend to go backwards in the max performance... -.-

    2x HD5970's performing better:confused::confused: where you seeing this:rolleyes:

Give the HD6990 some time for driver updates cause it looks like a solid performing card, its just the noise and heat ruins it for me:cry:, I can see alot of ppl who want this BEAST! are going to wait for aftermarket coolers:rockout:

    No way.
5970 CF scales like garbage on release.

More importantly 6990 CF don't even start to scale before 1920*1200+.
To be honest who ever goes quad-CF on a single monitor is a moron.

As much as I like that guy's cooler review, this isn't a fair (or should I say complete) review for dual 6990.
He is just running on a Samsung 2433 which is a 1920*1200 monitor.

Yeah I do agree with you on the single monitor setup, 2560 x 1600 would be my minimum:toast: but I recommend eyefinity obviously if you got the cash:p

Around 80-100% scaling in unigine benchmark at 2560x1600 .. how is that scaling bad or worse than 5970's :S.

Honestly I am not that impressed with the performance to price. If it was priced at $600 I would be a little more accepting. This thing will get destroyed when and if the GTX 590 releases. And that is coming from a ATI fan preferably. If the GTX 590 does not exists and does not release... then I say it is worth the money and is worth the performance.

Awesome card But just worried it's too little too late :( Doesn't mean if someone gave me one I wouldn't show it off like a proud peacock!!! :)

Nothing pathetic about these >.> From what I can see it either scales or doesn't scale at all depending on support or resolution. Although the prices are a bit steep for what's offered here I would wait to find out what the GTX590 can do and hold up til prices drop.

Anyone who buys a pair of these would be doing it purely for epeen, most benchies so far are over the 100fps mark :wtf:

id really wish w1zzard would drop the 4xAA from the Metro review and use Depth of Field instead, depth of field actually improves SLI and Crossfire scaling and has a visual difference 4xAA is just a hog here and offers nearly no improvement over the basic AAA method.

i noticed it in my own review AAA or 4xAA xfire only scaled to 69% but with Depth of Field it scaled to 96%

also your complaining about quad gpu scaling get over it nvidias quad scaling sucks to herp derp lolz.

also i doubt the 590 will destory the 6990 most likely they will be rather close much like how 6970s are withing a few % points of the 580s at a cheaper price when compared in dual card configs i expect the 590 to win out most bench marks but at higher power draw and higher price but most likely the difference will be 5-6%
