I could link you to about fifty GTX 2XX threads. The real hype is for the next round of cards, and I want to sample them all! :D

how long you gonna wait for the 5000 card's to come out? by the time they are released they will have the 6000 series ready for release, you should know how they roll by now ;) waiting for something in this market is futile IMO

TBH i've been putting off building a new rig for so long and all i accomplished was gaming at lower setting's on newer game's  older title's play easily but throw something fresh on there and down goes the "performance"

paper launch? untill you see it on the shelf it isn't on the market ;)

i have never seen a GPU released on the day that the mfg stated, as a matter of fact IIRC most release date's get pushed back by a few month's?! :banghead:

you want to wait go ahead :respect: i played the waiting game a few time's and it's useless in the end :toast:

I heard 5870 have the same performance with 4870x2. It's worth to wait for couple months.

lol, no clue. Tzitzibp is sending me a pair of the toxic coolers so I will be comparing the 2 coolers as when I get this comp up and running this week..

While their power kicks butt I am not entirely excited by a comp that needs 500 watts to run 24/7. (my lego comp uses 38watts)

lol, tell me about it..

One other tidbit about the VaporX coolers is they are very quiet (probably as they run at 26%) I turned mine to 100% and they are still not that loud, I had XFX 9600GTs that made a lot more noise.

all the red edition is, is a red cooler with a backplate and they added what? $50.00 to the price? That's stupid.

I think the "hype" has to do with that these cards are pretty much the first with aftermarket cooling (Stock is loud and ok) and the high core clocks from the factory. 1ghz cores make people happy.
