I have a 1920x1200 DVI monitor sitting right next to a VGA 1440x900 monitor. The difference in picture quality is indistinguishable. Analog has no problems at these lower resolutions.

Don't use Adapters. Many are cheap fakes made in China and will never work correctly.

Even if you have to replace a part or the TV do it right the first time

Hi guys I'm back !

Nothing works, I tried everything !

As I said in my first post, the only solution seems to have "Connector: DVI - PC screen" instead of "Connector: DVI - HDTV" but I can't have it with my GTX 550TI...

At this level, I think it's a driver or a BIOS bug...

Not yet, but I'm sure the result will be better.
I think it's crazy to reuse an old VGA cable in 2015...
Further more when the sound works through my DVI connector...

If you want to send sound to the TV, use the 3.5mm stereo cable.

CRTs usually don't have speakers. Picture wise they'll look similar.

Change your pixel format to 4.2.2
Monitors use pc rbg 4.4.4 and a lot of tv's use 4.2.2.
Not sure where the pixel format option is on Nvidia control panel so somebody might be able to tell you where it's at..
In AMD its in display tab.

Have you tried running at 50Hz? Making sure it's 1366x768? If it's blurry, maybe the scaling settings are wrong somewhere. With my TV in particular that I use as my monitor, there is a P. SIZE button on my remote, and if I set it to Normal, it looks all squished. If I set it to Full, it looks fine. I set up a TV as a monitor for somebody else and had to do some mucking around with it to get it to work properly as well. IIRC, I had to set the TV to "no scaling" or somesuch and use overscan/underscan in AMD CCC to get it to look right.

Yes, I spent a lot of time with this issue.
I see only 3 possibilities: a NVidia driver bug, a Gigabyte BIOS bug, a pinout specificity (from my 9600GT experience)...

Yes but that was not my objective.
As I have 5 workstations at home my best bet is probably to reinstall my old 9600GT and put my GTX550TI elsewhere...

Out of curiousity, @HiSpeed did you try setting it to 720p50 instead of 1366x768? Sometimes the actual panel resolution isn't what the scaler in the TV is expecting. It may be expecting HDTV display timings for 1280x720p50 and not 1366x768p50.

This might sound really strange but, have you tried disabling HDMI audio?

Your 9600GT probably has one Dual-Link DVI and one SingleLink DVI port.... But still this is a weird issue. I had a similar problem with an older Viewsonic HDTV, but I since got rid of it.

The reference 9600 GT has two Dual link DVI ports. cant find out if its DVI-I or DVI-D. guessing DVI-I
